Pet Portraits

Again similar to the Wildlife, these are a 2 day workshop, however they are more personal. We work from photographs, transferring our image onto the canvas, scrubbing in the black gesso and then the following day applying the oils, both the dogs have been completed in this wet on wet style. The 2 cats have been completed in a more traditional oil painting technique, where each coat of paint was applied and allowed to dry before applying the next layer etc. Both were commissions, hence their unusual settings. Although I don't instruct this method, I thought it would be good for you to see something a little different.
